Depending on the design of the tractor (bulldozer) with a 5-, 7-roller and other trolley, there may be 38-45 shoes on each track. Shoe 48-22-2 (50-22-32) is a cast piece made of special wear–resistant steel, with protruding ribs, weighing 22.6 kg according to the specification for the documentation for the tracked trolley. The lower flat part of the shoe is adjacent to the side parts of the chain links 50-22-103SP (50-22-103-01SP, -02SP). The shoes are attached to the chain links with M20x1.5x62 bolts, of which there can be 168-180 pieces in the trolley assembly unit, depending on the machine design. The caterpillar shoe is, in fact, an improved analogue of the crawler track, which are used on crawler cranes.
Cast wear-resistant tracks with eyelets for connecting fingers as part of the crawler crane propellers move directly along the drive and tensioner wheels and support rollers. In the case of the T10M tractor (B10M bulldozer), the shoes move along similar guide elements of a tracked trolley through a flexible, strong chain, which makes the entire caterpillar mechanism very reliable and increases its cross-country ability over difficult terrain."/>
The shoe 48-22-2, 50-22-32 of the tractor track is, in fact, the part with which the machine rests on the ground (road). The inner part of the track, consisting of a series of steel links "on the side", moves along the drive and tension wheels, grooves of the support and supporting rollers. The shoe is bolted on top of the parallel chain links, for which there are special holes in the side walls of the links.
