MK-XX54 series garbage trucks have the following features:

1. The use of a "pendulum" type sealing plate made it possible to increase the specific pressing pressure to 3.3 kg/cm2, which raised the value of the solid waste compaction coefficient to 1:5.

2. The design changes of the press chamber allowed:

— firstly, to prevent solid waste from jamming during sealing;

— secondly, to reduce its overall dimensions, which made it possible to expand the range of chassis on which equipment can be installed.

The press chamber has a simpler, more reliable and maintainable design compared to previous models.

3. The use of low-alloy steels in the body structure of garbage trucks of this type has made it possible to lighten the weight of special equipment and increase the strength of the structure.

4. The garbage truck is equipped with a new MK-4 high–strength manipulator, which is easy to maintain and reliable in operation. The manipulator can be equipped with a device for unloading containers into the body of a garbage truck (patent of JSC Ryazhsky Automobile Repair Plant No. 160217) – universal replaceable gripper MK 14.900.000 for all existing container standards: EN 840-1, DIN 30740, DIN 30700, EN 840-2, EN 840-3, box-shaped metal containers from 700 to 1300 liters.
