Sand-gravel mixture (PGS)

A sand-gravel mixture (SGS) is a building material consisting of sand and gravel. There are two main types of GHS: natural and artificial.

Natural PGS is formed naturally and contains fractions of sand and gravel of different sizes and shapes. Artificial PGS is produced in factories where sand and gravel fractions are specially selected for specific construction projects.

Features of PGS:

Durability: PGS has high strength, which makes it suitable for the construction of roads, airfields and other facilities with high load-bearing capacity.
Water resistance: Tolerates high humidity well, which allows it to be used in the construction of hydraulic structures.
Frost resistance: High frost resistance makes PGS suitable for use at low temperatures, especially in northern regions.
Density: GHGS can have different densities depending on the composition, ranging from light to heavy mixtures.
Gravel content: The composition can include from 10% to 90% gravel, which affects the strength, water resistance and other characteristics of the material.
Areas of application of PGS:

Concrete production: used as a filler in concrete, improving its strength and durability.
Road construction: PGS is the main material for roads and railways, airfields and other transport facilities.
Landscaping: it is used in landscape projects such as parks, squares and embankments.
Production of building materials: used in the manufacture of bricks, blocks, paving slabs and other products.
Agriculture: helps to improve the soil structure and create fertile soils.
Landscape design: it is used to create artificial reservoirs, waterfalls, slides and other elements of landscape design.
