Classification by fractions and greediness
The most sold is crushed stone of 20-40 mm fraction, used in the manufacture of medium-quality concrete. This means that the grain of the rock does not exceed 40 mm in size. This type belongs to the class of medium fractions and is used in basic construction, when laying foundations, for strengthening embankments and repairing roads, as well as during crushing. The fine-grained (up to 20 mm) and coarse-grained (more than 40 mm) classes are distinguished separately.

Greediness is a characteristic that describes the shape of the grains of a material, namely their tendency to a flat appearance. The more flat parts there are in the composition, the less high-quality granite rubble is. This affects the density of its tamping and the presence of cracks in the solution.
