The radioactivity parameter must also be taken into account, which will depend on the type of material deposit. The sand that is extracted from mining operations can be radioactive above the norm. It is absolutely not allowed to use it in residential construction. The radioactivity class for residential premises should always be I – this should be specified in the quality certificate for the material. Classes II and III are used only for road and industrial construction.

The specific gravity of the raw materials may vary. If we talk about the fine-grained variety, then one cube will weigh about 1700-1800 kilograms. If the fraction is large or medium, then this value decreases due to a larger number of voids and a lower bulk density. On average, this is 1500-1600 kilograms per 1 m3.

Humidity can also be a very important factor. For example, if it is at a level of more than 5%, the weight will increase to 1.8 tons.

Also, the weight of 1 m3 will depend on the compaction coefficient due to the condition of the underlying sand or artificial tamping. The higher the seal, the greater the mass of 1 cube.
