PGS, GOST 23735-2014 (gravel content 30-50%)

A sand-gravel mixture (with a gravel content of 30-50%) is a natural non–metallic building material regulated by GOST 23735-2014, consisting of sand with a gravel content of 30% to 50% by weight. This type of product is produced by a hydromechanized method using a C-42 type dredger by extracting the raw materials of a gravel-sand mixture with a high gravel content in the sole of the bottom layer, as well as washing this mixture with a large amount of water to remove pulverized and clay particles. As a result of production and technological processes, this non-metallic building material has the following physical and mechanical properties:

1. Bulk density, equal to 1500 kg/m3;

2. The filtration coefficient is from 2.0 to 5.0 m/day.;

3. Content of pulverized and clay particles by weight / clay in clumps by weight: 1.01% / 0.00%;

4. The modulus of sand size in the composition of the mixture is from 1.7 to 2.5;

5. The specific effective activity of radionuclides is 20.24+-2.78 Bq/kg.

This non-metallic construction material is widely used in the following types of work::

1. Construction of roads of federal, regional, and local importance. It is used in the formation of road embankments and foundations (drainage layers in road construction);
