The planning bucket differs from the standard one in the absence of teeth and in its width — it is almost twice as large. Depending on the chosen special equipment, its characteristics change. The smaller the equipment, the smaller the size.

Sometimes a metal plate is welded to a standard excavator bucket to make it look like a floor plan. This method is cheaper, but requires more skill from the operator.

A full-turn excavator can be tracked or wheeled. The first one is used on soft ground, its movement speed is 10 km/h. The second one is on a hard surface, can move on asphalt, its speed is 30-40 km/h. In addition to this technique, the planning bucket can be hung on a backhoe loader. The choice of equipment depends on the budget and the specifics of the territory:

the type of soil,
the ability to maneuver,
work indoors, under a canopy or outdoors, etc
. A full-turn excavator is chosen when large, powerful machinery is needed for large-scale plans for a long time.
