Description
River sand is extracted in the vicinity of reservoirs of rivers and lakes. A dredger, floating crane, dragline, excavator are used for mining, river sand is cleaner and coarse-grained. Such sand is used to make mortar, in the production of dry building mixes, aerated concrete blocks, and for screed floors. Natural sand is extracted in natural conditions far from reservoirs. The development of such quarries does not require large costs and special equipment, a bulldozer and one or two excavators will be required for development and extraction. The composition of such sand may contain various impurities and dust particles above the required standards for use in production cycles. This material is perfect for backfilling construction sites, preparatory work on the construction of country roads, in private construction it is used to make mortar, such a solution is more elastic.
Natural sand for backfilling
Natural sand GOST 8736-2014. In quarries remote from reservoirs, fine-grained sand with a content of pulverized silty, clay particles, but not more than 10%, is most often used for backfilling, filling trenches for laying pipes and cables. In winter, icy roads and pedestrian sidewalks are filled out, reducing accidents and injuries. Sand with a silt and clay content of no more than 10% is used in private construction, and mortar is made from it for masonry and plastering work.
