Cardan shaft 257-2202010-16 DZ-98

The main intermediate driveshaft of the 257-2202010-16 series is included in the driveshaft transmission of the DZ-98 motor graders. The second driveshaft from the grader gearbox is connected via an intermediate one to the first driveshaft on one side and to the intermediate gimbal support on the other. The use of the middle cardan shaft ensures the supply of torque from the drive to the middle drives of the DZ-98 chassis system.

When rotating the shaft, the connecting fork must lie in a common working plane with the fork of the attached intermediate one to ensure the correct operation of the driveshaft. To reduce the load and distribute rotation more efficiently, the shaft is connected to the next shaft of the cardan through an intermediate transmission support.

In addition to being used in DZ-98 motor graders, the intermediate main driveshaft is suitable for many models of special equipment, tractors, trucks and specialized vehicles. The 257-2202010-16 series is also used to replace similar devices from other series.
