Depending on the location (the quarry closest to the delivery point), the price of quarry sand ranges from 150 to 230 rubles per ton. Prices are shown without shipping.

Please note that quarries do not carry out weight control, as they do not have scales. As a rule, shipment is carried out by volume in a bucket, or scales are present on some buckets of the loader. The conversion rate from tons to cubes is about 1.5. Thus, the price of quarry sand per 1 m3 is from 180 to 300 rubles.

What is quarry sand for and where is it used?
Quarry sand got its name from the method of extraction (in the quarry), where sandy soils lie. In Barnaul, quarry sand does not undergo any additional processing, so it may contain stones, clay, and small tree roots. However, there may also be high-quality sand, with characteristics no worse than river sand.

Categories of sand

In Barnaul, such sand is mined at the Sokol deposit (yellow sand), and in the village of Alexandrovka (white sand). If the first one has more clay, so it is used more as a "backfill" and for plastering, then the second one is an excellent inexpensive alternative to natural sand!

Application

You can buy quarry sand for:

various "zero cycle" jobs;
road works;
territory improvement;
drainage;
filling and leveling of the site;
preparation of mortar and plaster.
For plaster and mortar, quarry sand is usually sifted (if it is not pure sand of the first category). After sifting, the sand will be more homogeneous, which will affect the quality of the cement mortar. In order not to have to resort to additional costs, it is better to buy quarry sand of the 1st (first) category, or order river sand.

Where can I buy quarry sand?
Do you need quarry sand? There are several main official quarries in Barnaul and the Altai Territory: a deposit near the village of Sokol (near the helicopter regiment), a quarry in the village. Alexandrovka (near the GRUS and Narat factories). And some unofficial careers that operate illegally.

It should be noted that not all careers work the same way. The working hours and sales of quarry sand are highly dependent on the weather. Shipping stops in rainy weather. Also, in the spring, when there is a flood, some quarries flood, so they have to wait for June or even July for everything to dry out. Otherwise, the equipment may get stuck there.

Delivery of quarry sand
We deliver quarry sand only from official quarries in Barnaul and ship sand at quarry prices. It is economically feasible to buy quarry sand if you are located nearby (within 10 kilometers) from a sand quarry, or take a volume of more than 10 tons. Only then can it be cheaper than river water. Thus, cheap quarry sand can cost 280 rubles per ton with delivery, if you take from 15 tons and carry it a short distance.

Most often we carry sand from the village of Sokol (southwest of Barnaul). In summer, the sale of quarry sand takes place from Monday to Friday from 8-00 to 16-00. Sometimes delivery is possible on Saturday. To do this, you need to call in advance and arrange with our manager by phone.

Why don't we deliver less than 5 tons?
Because it is impractical, as it turns out that for such a price you can bring river sand. And sometimes the river comes out even cheaper than the quarry.
