The MTZ Belarus 82.1 tractor is designed to perform various agricultural work, from preparing the soil for sowing to harvesting and transportation operations; it can be used in forestry, utilities, construction and industry, and is adapted to work in various climatic zones.

The cabin is a single–seater with a protective rigid frame, thermally noise-proof, equipped with a sprung seat adjustable in weight and height of the operator, rear-view mirrors, sun visor, electric windscreen wipers for the front and rear windows, a windshield washer, a light shade and a place to install a radio receiver, with heating and ventilation system. 

The versatility and high attachment capacity of the tractor ensures its aggregation with mounted, semi-mounted and trailed machines and implements. MTZ 82.1 is characterized by high reliability and cost-effectiveness at low operating costs and high productivity. 

Belarus MTZ-82.1 tractors are equipped with a four-stroke reciprocating four-cylinder internal combustion engine D-243 with an inline vertical cylinder arrangement, with direct injection of diesel fuel and compression ignition. 

The running system of MTZ-82.1 tractors consists of front and rear driving wheels with low–pressure pneumatic tires. Steerable wheels - front. It is possible to double the rear wheels with a spacer.
