It replaces the discontinued S160 machine. The capabilities of the mini loader allow it to be operated in a wide variety of spatial and climatic conditions: snow removal, loading and unloading operations in quarries, ports and warehouses, when moving sand, gravel and crushed stone, landscaping, excavation with subsequent unloading of soil into landfills or large trucks, on uneven surfaces and viscous soils.

The Bobcat S550 mini loader is equipped with an all-wheel drive hydrostatic wheel chassis. High-strength oval 80HSOC chains with circular rollers and thick plates of connecting links are located in an airtight crankcase with an oil bath and do not require adjustment. The strength of the chains is significantly higher than that of other manufacturers. The operating weight of the loader is 2.84 tons, the load capacity without a counterweight is 794 kg, with a counterweight – 62 kg. Kubota V2607-DI-TE3B Interim Tier 4 four-cylinder diesel engine with 61.8 hp turbocharged and liquid-cooled engine allows you to reach speeds of up to 17.3 km/h (if the model is equipped with two gears).

In the basic configuration, the Bobcat S550 compact loader can be equipped with a standard control system, and in additional systems: AHC – handles on the steering levers control the lifting and tilting, and the levers themselves control the stroke and direction of the machine; ACS – steering levers control the drive functions, and the pedals control the lifting and tilting of the boom; SJC – All functions of the mini loader are controlled using joysticks. Another indicator that increases operator comfort is the ability to work at any time of the day. The Bobcat S550 has optimized lenses and reflectors that increase scattering and light output, as well as four light bulbs instead of two on the previous series of machines.

The Bobcat S550 loader is equipped with the Bob-Tach mounting system, which greatly facilitates the process of changing attachments. The supporting structures and boom of the machine are made using modern high-strength materials. The three-point mounting design of the power unit significantly improves its balance (by eliminating the fourth point) and minimizes vibration and noise levels.
